  • Weekends of Epic Proportions

I’ll just preface this post by saying, “I can sleep when I’m dead”. (Thank you JMC!)

Today – E. Riley Dorn (pictured below, on the right) is at the hospital about to welcome little “G Baby” into the world. Pretty wild stuff. I am not nearly as spazzed out about it as the rest of our little mafia, as I’ve had several friends to take on this responsibility since senior year of high school (shout out to Steph, Amanda)! The rest of the girls in our college gang? Well they’re another story. (And really entertaining to observe their reactions right now.)

(Katie Pi Phi, me, E. Riley Dorn at a bar a few years ago)

Congrats Hot Momma E. Riley Dorn and Daddy Dorn!

Tonight – Nick and I are volunteering with Priscilla and her hubby Chase, and lots of other volunteers from the Raleigh Regional Association of Realtors Community Service Committee (you know I also have a real estate license, right?) at Miracle League. Pretty pumped to be volunteering to help some fantastic kids play baseball!

Tomorrow– NC State Spring Football Game, possibly a visit to CueGrass, and definitely attending Redress Raleigh.

    Sunday– Bridal show w/ Brezey*B, Am*Bam, etc.

(Me, Brianne, Amber – summer after senior year of high freaking school)

    NEXT Weekend

TBMF with Katie Pi Phi, Mr. Katie Pi Phi (who will have a snazzy nickname after next weekend, surely), F’in Jess, Grubey and her brother, NEB, Nate, Big Cam, Renee, and the whole rest of the drinkin’ team. Best day of the year!

(Yes, that is also E. Riley Dorn in that picture… less than a year ago… SO not pregnant, obviously ;-))

PS – Going to the TBMF and still need tickets? Buy them from my friends at the Me Fine Foundation – they get a donation from every single ticket sold! Give them a call or send them an email to arrange!

And that will consume the entire weekend – no lie.

Why on Earth would I live anywhere else in the world?
I love this place and the people that make it what it is!

  • Spare Change Coming to City Limits!

If you’ve been to the TBMF, there’s a good chance you’ve partied with Spare Change… and had a blast. I love these guys and was super excited to see they’ll be coming to City Limits in December. (They often play a lot of Eastern NC shows, but never close enough for me to get there to party.)

They cover everything from country to rock ‘n’ roll and have a great stage presence. Check out their website, facebook, or twitter for more updates!

Here’s the skinny from City Limits:

Thursday, December 3rd, City Limits Saloon welcomes the hell raisin’ party band Spare Change! With covers of everything from country and rock to rap and beach, it’s gonna be a Thursday you don’t want to miss!See ya there!

  • I’m the TBMF Expert…

…so don’t BS me in regards to the Triangle Beach Music Festival!

If you still need to go get tickets to the TBMF this weekend, or you need extras like me, DO NOT GO TO SCHOOL KIDS RECORDS on Hillsborough Street.

I went to pick up tickets for a few out-of-towners who didn’t want to buy them online and wait at will call to pick them up. They sent me their $25.00 and I hopped over to School Kids. The man (I guess the owner) behind the counter charged me $79.50 for three. It was supposed to be $75.00. I inquired as to why they were different than advertised and he looked me right in the eye and told me “everyone is charging more for them”.

I am a moron and went ahead and paid the extra $4.50 — even after telling him I know the folks who run the event and I was pretty sure that wasn’t right. I promptly emailed my friend who does the tickets and website and he knew who I was talking about before even asking… he then told me that the other outlets aren’t charging service charges!

Never lie to a woman — we always find out… jerk!

If you still need to pick up tickets, go to Garden Gate Cafe in Garner. They have some left. For $25.00. (Tookie’s is sold out.)

Call the other places if Garner is out of the way – and don’t let them lie to you, either.

Whatever you do, don’t go to School Kids. I never will again.
