    Stumbled upon this today and was reminded of how grateful I am:

  • City Girl with a Little Country Charm

    Country music fans, listen up. You’ve gotta check this guy out – Jerrod Niemann. I heard his song “One More Drinkin’ Song” on XM Radio and really liked it. His new single, “Lover, Lover”, I heard for the first time yesterday. I had to come home and find out what else he’s done, because I was HOOKED. “What Do You Want” is also pretty darn epic.

    Unfortunately, his MySpace is the most up to date thing (and only 3 songs, not including his latest, are on iTunes)… but the player on MySpace is playing in heavy rotation here today.

    GOOD STUFF. He reminds me of a little bit of Dierks Bentley and Lee Brice – two of my other all time favorites.

    After “google-ing” Buzz & Berly last night, I stumbled upon this blog: Puttin’ on the G.R.I.T.S.

    I love the random goings-on this fellow southern belle writes about and the collection of “Steel Magnolias” she links to! Her description, is one of my favorite southern girl quotes that I had not yet included here:

  • United States Redneck Special Forces (USRSF)

    The Pentagon announced TODAY the formation of a new 500-man elite fighting unit called the United States Redneck Special Forces (USRSF)

    These southern boys will be dropped off into Iraq and have been given only the following facts about terrorists:

    1. The season opened today.
    2. There is no limit.
    3. They taste just like chicken.
    4. They don’t like beer, pickups, country music or Jesus.
    5. They are directly responsible for the death of Dale Earnhardt.

    The Pentagon expects the problem in Iraq to be over by Friday.
